University Orthopaedic Associates - A Division of OrthoNJ, is a leading orthopedic practice which provides a full spectrum of orthopedic care. Our board certified surgeons each with sub specialty training offer the best care in sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, joint replacement, traumatology, hand and upper extremity surgery, foot and ankle surgery and surgery of the spine.
We have an exciting full time opportunity to join our team in our Somerset office as an experienced Medical Insurance Representative.
To qualify, you must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Candidates must also have a minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of previous experience with billing and coding. Orthopedic experience is strongly preferred. Proficient medical terminology is required, orthopedic and or physical/occupational therapy a plus. Bilingual is a plus.
We are looking for a dynamic individual with experience in billing, coding and accounts receivable. This position will be responsible for posting payments to patient accounts and handling the billing & collections for our orthopedic surgeons. Within this position, the successful candidate will be expected to review accounts for proper charge posting, manage claim edits, correct claims adjustments, post payments, handle patient questions/concerns in regards to their accounts and work the physician A/R.
