JOB TITLE:
Research Associate III
JOB PURPOSE:
Plan and design complex research project(s); manage operational, financial and personnel functions of designated project(s) under limited supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project managing research initiatives, including creating/monitoring budgets, timelines, and work plans; creating progress reports; serving as interim project director during startup phase of new extramurally-funded projects; and facilitating overall operations of research projects (including assistance with collection, analysis, and storage of data)
Assisting with identifying and preparing applications for extramural research, training, and service grant opportunities
Assisting with (and sometimes leading) creation of dissemination products including professional presentations, journal articles, community presentations, white papers, policy briefs, and similar products
Creating compliance submissions and amendments (e.g., IRB) and ensuring all project staff complete and maintain necessary compliance trainings
Design, manage, and participate in all phases of research projects including researching, editing, planning, and supervising staff.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
Research literature to define additional research needs specific to methodologies and to prepare manuscripts.
COMPETENCIES:

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:
This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master's degree in a field related to area of research
Experience: 3 years work-related experience
Required licensure, certification, registration or other requirements: Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) that is compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy.
