University of Wisconsin–Madison is Hiring a School Network Research Program Coordinator Near Madison, WI

Job Summary:

The Research Coordinator is a crucial part of the MLRC School Network Team. This Coordinator will plan and coordinate the administrative, operational, outreach and promotional activities related to the global MLRC School Network, a Research-Practice Partnership.
- The Coordinator builds systems for managing membership in this global network of over 180 schools by managing outreach and communications to inspire, excite and engage educators around the world. Coordinator will also respond to members requests and questions through the customer management portal.
- This position will create impactful communications across multiple platforms (website, email, social media, video) that help educators use research insights: for example, creating infographics, planning webinars, promoting engagement with our member portal.
- This position will work with K-12 schools globally to better meet the needs of multilingual learners.
- The Coordinator will analyze progress of the School Network by monitoring key program metrics, creating data dashboards/visualizations and identifying trends.
- The Coordinator will organize and may attend international events to work with teachers and support logistics, data gathering and networking.
- In collaboration with the School Network Director and School Network Researcher, the Coordinator will have the opportunity to develop the MLRC School Network as a Research-Practice Partnership to impact teaching practice, teacher quality, and policy - in both local and global contexts.
- The Coordinator will develop or use existing subject matter expertise (e.g., marketing, project management, research, teaching multilingual learners, the MLRC School Network activities, the schools in the School Network) to further the strategic goals of the MLRC.

Responsibilities:Plans and coordinates the administrative, operational, outreach and promotional activities related to research studies that may be collaborative and independent. Serves as a subject matter expert.
  • 15% Coordinates the daily activities and contracts related to one or more research program(s)
  • 15% Assists in the development, coordination, and facilitation of trainings and workshops for internal and external audiences to disseminate research program developments and information
  • 15% Plans, develops, and implements processes and protocols to support research aims
  • 15% Serves as a unit liaison and subject matter expert among internal and external stakeholder groups, collaborates across disciplines and functional areas, provides program information, and promotes the accomplishments and developments of scholars and research initiatives
  • 5% Monitors program budget(s) and approves unit expenditures
  • 15% Develops policies, procedures, and institutional agreements on behalf of the program
  • 20% Coordinates communications and outreach activities for the School Network

Education:

Required
Bachelor's Degree
BA Required; Marketing, business or education-related field preferred

Qualifications:

REQUIRED
o Demonstrated innovation mindset and experience navigating new challenges in a fast-paced work environment
o Flexibility and collaboration skills in working with a variety of different internal and external stakeholders
o Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
o Ability to solve problems and take initiative in planning and managing complex tasks
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
o Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and social media platforms
PREFERRED
o Experience working with a network or diverse community oriented around equity
o Experience with education research, market research or applied research in another field
o Experience working with a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system and (LMS) Learning Management System
o Experience working with a variety of types of K-12 schools (public, private, charter, international)
o Familiarity with multiple languages and/or cultures and/or Experience living outside the US
Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Full Time: 100%
This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.
