W ork Schedule : Per Diem, this is a Day/Evening position with (8) eight-hour shifts Monday Friday. Shifts start between the hours of: 6:30 AM 9:00 AM. Hours may vary based on operational needs of department. Join the #1 hospital in Wisconsin! We are seeking Endoscopy Technician to: Assist physicians or other providers with procedures performed in the gastroenterology endoscopy setting. Prepare and position patients for procedures, assisting providers during endoscopy, including biopsy specimen collection, and polypectomy. Restocking of procedure room supplies and monitoring of supply PAR levels. Troubleshooting of all specialty equipment. Adherence to strict infection control practices and use of personal protective equipment. Education : Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred Formal training or experience in medical specialty (i.e. LPN, MA, Advanced Nursing Assistant) Work Experience : Preferred One (1) year of experience in a clinical setting (or) one (1) year of experience assisting in GI or pulmonary medical procedures, basic cardiac monitoring experience. Licenses and Certifications : Minimum BLS/CPR certification Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities : Knowledge of communication techniques, teamwork, customer service standards and quality improvement. Knowledge of the use of personal protective equipment. Physical Requirements : Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
