We are a 22-bed unit that cares for a variety of general surgery patients, ranging from appendectomies to complex bowel resections to hernia repairs. Our floor is fast paced and we are proud to hold some of the highest admission-discharge-transfer (ADT) rates in our hospital. 36 hours per week
3x12 shift schedule
Night shifts (7:00pm - 7:30am) PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide post-op and telemetry monitoring for patients receiving minor inpatient surgeries
Manage complex health issues that might arise during surgery
Monitor and administer medications and IVs
Work alongside doctors, surgeons, and care managers
Follow evidence-based nursing practices
Provide personalized care with compassion, dignity, and respect REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
1 year of current or recent nursing experience with surgical patientsora recent clinical preceptorship on a surgical hospital floor
An active Registered Nurse license in the State of Washington
