Position Summary Information
Primary Purpose
This position reports directly to the Director of Facility Operations and is responsible for managing and overseeing a comprehensive approach to space usage and coordination, highlighting the multi-faceted role of a Venue Client Liaison in ensuring both the satisfaction of clients and the upkeep and presentation of the venue.
Essential Functions
Client-Facing Duties
  • Consultation and Planning: Meeting with clients to understand their space vision for the event, and guest count.
  • Communication and Coordination: Serving as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the planning process and the event itself, providing updates and handling any issues that arise.
  • Greet client: Day of event meet and greet client at event location, unlock, lock doors and equipment including lights on and off.
  • Post-Event Follow-Up: Gathering feedback from client's post-event, discussing any issues they experienced, and suggesting improvements for future events.
Facility Maintenance Duties
  • Regular Inspections: Conducting regular inspections of the venue to ensure everything is operational and meeting safety standards.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Emergency space prep information - provide clients with emergency preparation information related to event day activities.
  • Equipment Upkeep: Overseeing the maintenance of event-related equipment such as lighting, and furniture to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Repairs and Renovations: Coordinating repairs and overseeing renovations to improve facilities and ensure they meet the high standards expected at premium events.
  • Compliance with Laws and Regulations: Report facility issues that conflict with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.
Facility Condition Duties
  • Venue Presentation: Ensuring the venue is presented at its best for each event, which includes overseeing cleaning, layout adjustments, and decor setups.
  • Quality Control: Regularly checking the condition of the facility to address wear and tear or any aesthetic issues before they affect an event.
  • Accessibility Improvements: Ensuring the venue is accessible to all guests, including those with disabilities, by reporting accessibility issues.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, or G.E.D.
  • One (1) year of experience in hospitality, client service roles.
  • One (1) year of supervisory experience.

Work Environment/Work Week/Travel:
Work is performed both in a standard office environment and outside areas in various weather conditions. Work performed during standard business hours. Will work outside regular work hours to meet department's business needs and deadlines.
Valid driver's license required. Incumbents must also be able to meet the University's fleet rules and be eligible to drive for university business. The University's insurance carrier reserves the right to exclude applicants based on their driving record.
Hiring Range $22.03 - $29.18 per hour. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
