Job Summary
Position Description
The at is seeking two tenure-track faculty positions in Operations Management beginning in fall 2024. The positions are open rank, but Assistant Professor candidates are preferred. All areas of research under the broad umbrella of Operations/Supply Chain Management (including Sustainable Operations) will be considered. Appointees must have a PhD or equivalent in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Decision Sciences, or another related area (those with ABD status will be considered at the application /interviewing stage) and demonstrate the ability to conduct an internationally recognized research program. We seek scholars who can produce research of excellent quality with high impact. The person would teach Operations Management courses in the core curriculum as well as specialized electives.
The appointment commences for the fall 2024 semester.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience: A PhDor equivalent in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Decision Sciences, or a related discipline is required prior to employment; those with ABD status will be considered at the application /interviewing stage. Candidates are expected to demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, engaging, and dynamic environment comprised of individuals with a range of backgrounds, skills, and perspectives. We are seeking candidates able to produce research and scholarly or creative achievements that enhance the program and the discipline, and able to deliver high quality teaching using evidence-based practices to effectively engage students from a range of backgrounds and experiences.
Preferred Education and Experience: In addition, candidates at the Assistant Professor level should demonstrate potential for excellence in research and teaching, whereas senior candidates are expected to have outstanding publication records (in particular in journals on the "UTD-24 list" - see ) and teaching records.
