General Notes

This position is based in Austin, TX, the position is eligible for flexible scheduling and remote work.Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without sponsorship.

Purpose

Promotes student engagement and institutional development through the creation and implementation of a comprehensive suite of services for CCCSE member colleges. This includes developing and executing engaging learning events that inspire community college leaders to delve deeper into understanding the student experience at their campuses and to use that learning to champion student engagement and accelerate student success.

The Program Manager will have to perform the essential functions below:

  • Provide critical insight and innovative thinking to strategically develop engaging content, tools, resources, and trainings that guide community college leaders, faculty, and staff on how to utilize their student engagement data to accelerate student success post survey data release.

  • Work collaboratively across the organization, and with CCCSE's external partners across the country, to identify and implement dynamic learning opportunities for college leaders, faculty, and staff to develop a deeper understanding of the student experience and build strategies to strengthen engagement on their campuses. This includes, but is not limited to, customized workshops, institutes, webinars, etc.

  • Represent CCCSE on a national stage and contribute to the higher education field's body of knowledge about community colleges through the development of original written work, speaking engagements, podcasts, and other essential mediums.

  • Stay abreast of current and emerging trends in higher education, especially community colleges and the populations they serve, to ensure those trends are integrated within the comprehensive suite of services offered to CCCSE member colleges.

  • Work closely with the Executive Director to develop and nurture collaborative relationships with community college leaders and external partners across the country.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain tools and training for community college practitioners on how to utilize student engagement data for student success

  • Work nationally with CCCSE's external partners and member colleges to create learning opportunities about student engagement through workshops, webinars, institutes, etc.

  • Represent CCCSE at regional and national conferences and meetings

  • Assist in the development, implementation and upkeep of services offered to CCCSE member colleges

Required Qualifications
  • Doctorate degree in higher education.

  • Minimum of 5 years working in higher education.

  • Experience in overseeing and/or leading training and professional development.

  • Experience in presenting to small and large audiences.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working at a community college.

  • Experience working with CCCSE data.

  • Experience engaging with college leaders and administrators.

Salary Range

$115,000 depending on qualifications

Employment Eligibility:

Retirement Plan Eligibility:

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length. This position has the option to elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS, subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
