Description

This position is located in Springfield, TN

The objectives of this position are to plan, implement, and evaluate programs and activities to recruit prospective students for admission to the college, identify target markets, support the implementation of a Marketing / Recruitment plan, and assist students through the application / admission process.

This position will assist the Executive Director in coordinating, planning, scheduling, marketing, and managing the UTM Springfield operations, including programming, classroom management, faculty / student support, distance education facilities, and other areas as needed.

This position assists with developing and identifying problems and provides recommendations to ensure the growth of programming.

This position also helps manage all budget activities, including expense / revenue projections through DASH (Dynamic Administrative Systems for Higher Ed) the new, cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.

The position holder will implement and coordinate all advertisement production and advertising schedules for the Center.

The position serves as an ambassador to the University in fostering and facilitating relationships with city and county officials, high school administrators, and other stakeholders and community members.

Recruit prospective students by making high school visits and attending day / night college fairs, career days, and community events where a college recruitment presence is appropriate.

Assist prospective students, both in person and at a distance, in the decision-making, application, and enrollment process.

Staff special recruiting activities, including but not limited to events and communication targeted at prospective TN Promise applicants.

Enter and maintain data related to prospective students in Slate CRM) software. Cultivate relations with VSCC, high school personnel, and school counselors in Robertson County and surrounding areas.

Assist with the implementation of special activities for school counselors. Respond to inquiries from prospective students using, but not limited to, telephone, email, and social media / online chat.

Conduct teleconsulting calls to prospective students, parents, and other constituent groups. Assist with special events and activities to bring prospective students and other constituent groups to the campus.

Foster and cultivate positive interactions with other departments and academic divisions across campus. Work in collaboration and cooperation with all departments and educational divisions.

Represent the University and the Office of Regional Centers and Online Programs positively with all internal and external constituents.

This position is assigned to recruit students and market services specifically to Robertson County and the surrounding Middle TN regions.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Master’s degree preferred.

Ability to interact and collaborate with a diversity of individuals.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Demonstrated leadership and management skills in a higher education environment.

Must be able to work independently.

Initiative and strong decision-making skills required.
