AssessmentCoordinator Division of Access and Engagement

The Division of Access and Engagement (DAE) invites applications for the position of Assessment Coordinator. Under the leadership of the Executive Director for Assessment and Evaluation, this entry-level position will support the day-to-day operations of the Office of Assessment, Culture, and Education (ACE) by gathering pertinent data and evidence to determine the efficacy of the Division’s efforts to contribute to divisional and institutional goals in meaningful ways.

Asa keymember of theOffice of Assessment, Culture, and Education (ACE),thisprofessionalwillworkwithalltheofficeswithintheDivision to gather and analyze data that will ultimately inform the direction of initiatives and programs, as well as provide guidance to DAE leadership on how best to support students, staff, and faculty.

More specifically, this professional will work with DAE’s various offices to identify key priorities, develop divisional outcomes, and create a process for assessing those outcomes on an annual basis.

  • Review,analyze,andrecommendbestpracticesfordivisionalassessmentformsandsurveys.
  • GuideDAEstaffindefiningmeasurableprogramoutcomesandlearningoutcomes,identifying assessment needs, and creating and managing assessment plans.
  • Prepareanddisseminateassessmentfindingsinatimelymannertodivisionleadershipand staff upon request.
  • AssistwithcreatingreportsandpresentationsrelatedtotheimpactofDAEprograms,services, and events on the experiences of diverse populations on campus.
  • Ensure inclusive and equitable assessment practices including but not limited to providing context-specific approaches andresponses todatacollection,interpretation,andapplication;

disaggregationofdata;andmeaningfullyengagingdivisionalstaffthroughouttheassessment process.

  • Assistwithanalysis,interpretation,andreportingofassessmentfindings.
  • Assistwithassessmentinstrumentandmethoddevelopmentandfacilitation(e.g.,surveys, focus groups, SWOC analysis, etc.) for division-level projects.
  • WorkwiththeDAEAssessmentTeamtoimplementannualassessmenttrainingfordivision staff.
  • Interpretanddisseminateavailabledatafromprofessionalliterature,nationaldatabanks, institutional effectiveness research specific to assigned projects.
  • Performotherdutiesasrequiredorassigned.

RequiredQualifications :

Bachelor'sinEducation,SocialSciences,PublicPolicy,Statistics,Evaluation,Assessment, Educational Psychology, or closely related field.

The candidate’s degree must incorporate assessment methodologies and a minimum of two (2)yearsofprofessionalassessmentexperience.

  • Anabilitytoworkwithdiverse populations.
  • Knowledgeofequitycenteredassessmentpractices.
  • Anabilitytobalancemultipleworkresponsibilitiesintime-sensitivesituations.
  • AbilitytouseMicrosoftOfficeSuite.
  • AbilitytoproperlyhandleconfidentialdataandtouseSPSSandotheranalyticalsoftware for data analysis
  • Abilitytoworkcreatively,collaboratively,andprofessionallyinaninterdisciplinary university environment
  • Knowledgeofcurrentqualitativeandquantitativetechniquesforcollecting,analyzingand reporting data.
  • Teamdevelopmentskills.
  • Excellentcommunicationskills,bothverbalandwritten.
  • Acommitmenttoprofessionaldevelopmentanddiversity,equity,andinclusion.

PreferredQualifications

Master’sdegreeandatleast three (3) yearsofprofessionalevaluationandassessmentexperiencein diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Salary

The salary for this position is commensurate with experience and other qualifications and is accompaniedbyastandarduniversitybenefitspackage.
