The University of Tennessee’s Career Gateway is looking to fill the Front Office Assistant with the Tennessee Language Center. Through temporary assignment placements, Career Gateway allows the opportunity to work with various departments while gaining valuable work experience. Each assignment has differing pay rates, work schedules, and lengths of assignments. The length of assignments is subject to change. Please note that Career Gateway temporary positions do not have benefits, annual leave, or sick leave accrual.

Job length: Approximately 3 weeks in Nashville, TN

Pay rate: $18.00 an hour

Job Schedule: Monday-Friday 9 AM - 4 PM

Position reports to the Operations Director

Duties include:

  • Assisting front office operations where needed.
  • Answering calls related to various program client needs
  • Following up with e-mail to various program clients as needed
  • Inventory coordination
  • Assist operations director with various tasks as needed
  • Library coordination
  • Program integrity checks
  • Program assistance


Experience:

Required: 1 year

Preferred: 2 years

Education:

Required: High School Diploma

Preferred: Bachelors Degree

  • Office environment experience preferred
  • Microsoft Office app knowledge preferred
  • Cash handling experience preferred
  • Organizational Skills preferred
  • Flexible schedule preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish Conversational preferred
