Job Purpose:The University of Scranton offers an exciting opportunity to join a team of accomplished, passionate educators and clinicians in the Department of Nursing. This is a 9-month open rank faculty position beginning August 2023. The position includes teaching responsibilities in the Undergraduate and Graduate programs, University service and scholarship. The Nursing Department's mission is to prepare nurses at the baccalaureate, master's, and doctoral levels committed to excellence in practice. The Department's graduates have the knowledge and competencies to deliver high-quality, evidence-based, holistic, person-centered care.
Essential Duties:TeachingScholarshipServiceOther responsibilities as outlined in the faculty contract and handbook
Additional Skills Required:A current Pennsylvania nursing license or eligibility for licensure
Minimum Education Requirements:An earned Doctoral Degree (PhD or EdD) in nursing
Preferred Education:Minimum Job Experience Requirements:Clinical experience in adult healthCandidates should have evidence of excellence in classroom and clinical teaching, engagement in professional service and evidence of the ability to produce scholarly work. The ideal candidate will teach in the undergraduate and/or graduate Nursing programs, including but not limited to courses in the area of adult health.
