University of Rio Grande--Rio Grande Community... is Hiring an Accounting Clerk Near Rio Grande, OH

The University of Rio Grande/Rio Grande Community College is seeking an Accounting Clerk in the Business/Finance Office. This full-time position is offered with a comprehensive benefit package including health insurance, retirement, life and disability insurance, paid leave, educational benefits, and all other benefits associated with a full-time employment. The position is available immediately.

Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of the University Controller, the Accounting Clerk maintains purchase orders; helps accounts payable prepare and issue checks for vendor payables, contract services, check requests, travel expenses, and travel advances; prepares travel expense reports; reconciles general ledger; compiles, retrieves, maintains, updates files; gathers and compiles information for associated reports; provides general and technical clerical assistance to the Business/Finance Office, and maintains, updates, and prepares billing files. The Accounting Clerk also helps assist students with billing questions.

Position Qualifications:

Associate’s degree or high school plus two years of experience in related field; basic knowledge of accounting principles and methods; strong knowledge and experience with computer and software applications (including Microsoft Office); and excellent oral and written communication skills required. Candidates must demonstrate an ability to work with a diverse population, establish priorities, and work independently.
