Job Summary
The Portland Sports Network is looking for students that would like to get involved in the world of live sports broadcasting. We broadcast over 100 live events per year on ESPN and have a range of positions available to help you learn everything that goes into a television quality live broadcast. If you’re interested in sports, television, technology, communications, broadcast journalism, or would just like to join a fun team and gain some unique experience, please submit an application!
Core Duties
Help the Portland Sports Network showcase our amazing division I athletes on ESPN in a variety of positions such as:
Camera Operator
Graphics Operator
Audio Mixer
Instant Replay Operator
and more!
Depending on the position, examples of core duties include, but are not limited to:
Setup and operate camera stations.
Setup microphones and mix audio levels.
Prep graphics to be integrated throughout the broadcast.
Cut player highlights to be shown in-game and in video packages throughout broadcast.
Other relevant tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Evening availability
Weekend availability
Excellent teamwork
Ability to work under pressure
Punctual with great time management
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge/experience with basic camera operation and/or sports is a plus but not required.
Knowledge/experience with live-broadcasting is HUGE plus, but again not required.
