The Strategic Sourcing Department is a function of Financial Operations which is part of the Office of the Senior Vice Chancellor and Chief Financial Officer. Strategic Sourcing is also responsible for the Commercial Partnership Program.
Analyzes, negotiates, and transitions contracts to ensure compliance with all policies and regulations; conducts audits to analyze contract performance. Analyzes purchasing patterns, prepares presentations and reports for senior leadership, and establishes and manages project plans. Assists in execution and support of sourcing actions, create recommendations to enhance University purchasing system, and prepares marketing materials.
Essential FunctionsAnalyzes, negotiates, and transitions contracts to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations; conducts audits and benchmarks contracts to assess contract performance.
Analyzes purchasing patterns to identify cost saving and revenue generating opportunities; prepares presentations and spend reports for senior leadership.
Establishes project plans and manages all aspects related to the tracking and documenting of savings and revenue.
Assists in the development, implementation, and support of sourcing actions and activities designed to support initiatives; makes recommendations to improve sourcing procedures.
Supports the University purchasing system.
Coordinates the preparation of marketing materials to launch new contracts.
Physical EffortMust be able to use computer. May include travel to attend meetings and conferences.
