PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Program Coordinator for the Jefferson Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education (JCIPE) is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of JCIPE's flagship Health Mentors Program (HMP), as well as supporting the program's development and delivery. The incumbent will work closely with faculty, staff members, students, clinicians, and community members to coordinate all aspects of the program. Duties include volunteer and facilitator recruitment and tracking; faculty, staff, student, and community member participant support; organization of orientations, trainings, and other program events; development of program materials; management of electronic curriculum delivery systems; and interfacing with other campus offices and community-based organizations and healthcare provider agencies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Coordinates daily operations of the Health Mentors Program
  • Supervises JCIPE Program Assistant in accordance with HR policy
  • Serves as primary point of contact for HMP, including recruitment, communication, and support for faculty, staff, students, and community volunteers (e.g., approximately 1600 students, 250 volunteers, and 50 faculty and staff facilitators)
  • Supports development of program content in partnership with faculty leads
  • Populates and maintains electronic curriculum delivery systems
  • Coordinates volunteer outreach/recruitment, volunteer orientation and training, and volunteer retention initiatives
  • Supervises production of HMP newsletter by recruiting student editors and helping to develop, lay out, print and distribute content
  • Supports Center research projects by collecting, collating, analyzing , and reporting on data pertaining to HMP
  • Assists in research dissemination by drafting and reviewing abstracts and contributing to other Center publications and presentations
  • Participates across JCIPE initiatives where needed, including educational evaluation, programmatic problem-solving and best practice development, training student workers/researchers, grading student work, and helping to plan and organize the JCIPE biennial conference and other events
  • Assists with planning and integration of other programs with Health Mentors Program activities
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
OTHER FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
  • Assist with planning and organizing JCIPE meetings, conferences and other educational program
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of two years of experience in education design, development and/or program management.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
  • Word processing proficiency and basic Excel required
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as to function independently
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills
  • Knowledge of social media and app management preferred
