Job Description Summary
This position provides operational and organizational leadership to the Stroke Clinical Research Program. Ensures consistent application of policies, procedures and practices across all locations. The candidate will oversee industry-sponsored and federally-funded projects with a special focus on managing the multi-site Philadelphia Regional Stroke Trials Network Coordinating Center (PRSTNCC). The University of Pennsylvania serves as the hub of this network and there are currently 15 Spoke sites. This position is also responsible for the day to day management of the Stroke Clinical Research Study Team.
This position is responsible for the strategic direction, development and implementation of processes within the Stroke Clinical Research Program and will have a straight line reporting relationship to the Comprehensive Stroke Center Director.
This position will be responsible for:

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree and 5-7 years or equivalent combination of education/experience required
  • Progressively responsible project management and supervisory experience, preferably in an academic institution managing clinical research projects
  • Demonstrated leadership of complex projects and outstanding communication skills.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders to coordinate and achieve goals.
  • Strong planning and organizational capabilities along with attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and problem-solving skills necessary.
  • Must be effective in setting and meeting short- and long-term goals to complete assignments, with multiple project task ongoing simultaneously.
  • Successful candidates will have the ability to anticipate problems relating to projects and to develop and implement solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Significant experience with developing and implementing process and operations strongly preferred. Experience developing and implementing SOPs and other training tools preferred.
This position is contingent upon grant funding.
