Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy (www.pharmacy.unc.edu) is one of six health science schools (Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, Social Work, Public Health, Medicine) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is one of the oldest health science academic programs at Chapel Hill. The School teaches approximately 600 PharmD students and 145 graduate students. The School has built a reputation for its continued pursuit of excellence, rigorous education and training programs, cutting-edge multidisciplinary research, progressive pharmacy practices, efficient business operations, and its outstanding faculty, staff, and students. The School was named the number one School of Pharmacy in the U.S. by the U.S. News and World Report. Position Summary
The Eshelman School of Pharmacy seeks a dynamic and highly motivated individual for the position of Program Coordinator. This position will be under the supervision of the Director of the Office of Lifelong Learning (OLL) to support the execution of the School's educational initiative portfolio.
The Program Coordinator will play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency and success of our academic programs by providing comprehensive programmatic support. With a primary focus on the Master of Professional Science (MPS) in Regulatory Science, the incumbent will dedicate 55% effort towards collaborating with program directors, ensuring seamless execution, and contributing to the overall success of the MPS program.
Additionally, the Program Coordinator will allocate 20% effort towards the Minor in Pharmaceutical Sciences, working closely with program directors to facilitate its smooth operation and fostering a positive learning environment. A further 20% effort will be devoted to the Office of Lifelong Learning, contributing to the development and execution of initiatives aimed at promoting continuous education and professional growth.
Remaining flexible and adaptable, the Program Coordinator will allocate 5% effort to address various duties and opportunities that may arise, demonstrating a proactive approach in meeting evolving program needs. This position requires a dynamic individual capable of multitasking, problem-solving, and collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders to ensure the success and growth of our academic programs.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Ability to plan for organizational needs, multitask, and prioritize responsibilities.
Ability to communicate effectively with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to function independently, while also working in a highly collaborative environment as an effective team player.
Ability to think strategically, identify and solve problems, plan, and implement.
Ability to advise and collaborate with faculty, program participants, and others to resolve difficult issues in assigned program area(s).
Ability to determine any gaps, and recommend changes in procedures, workflow, and work assignments to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Related experience in project management or in higher education is preferred; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Experience with Canvas, Qualtrics, Learning Stream, Slate CRM system, and MS Office 365.
