Position Summary

The Title V Outreach Marketing Coordinator develops and coordinates a wide variety of marketing and promotional programs and activities. UNM-Los Alamos is the recipient of Title V grant which is a federally funded grant through the Department of Education. Under direct supervision of UNM-LA’s Marketing Representative and indirect supervision of the Title V Program Manager, the Outreach Marketing Coordinator will write and/or edit marketing and promotional materials that support the Title V grant.

This position has a projected end date of September 30, 2025.

Additional duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assists in the design and graphics of marketing materials.
  • Writes copy for press releases, promotional materials, and social media.
  • Produce and edit content like social media posts, videos, infographics, flyers, and more.

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications such as Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Illustrator).
  • Have a strong command of a variety of social media platforms, including the best practices for each.
  • Basic understanding of graphic design principles.
  • Ability to capture and edit video and photo projects.
  • Skills in writing and editing, storytelling, and audience engagement.

  • Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business or equivalent experience in Digital Marketing
  • Knowledge of UNM-LA or other higher education institutions
  • Experience executing paid social media campaigns
  • Experience writing copy and press releases
  • Experience creating/editing/publishing videos
  • Experience with HTML, Content Management System (CMS) and other web development tools.
  • Knowledge of Northern New Mexico culture and languages.
