University of New Haven is Hiring a TCB Senior Project Manager Near West Haven, CT

The TCB Senior Project Manager is a full time, grant funded position, in which the individual will provide support to the Tow Youth Justice Institute (TYJI) at UNH and the State of CT Transforming Childrens Behavioral Health Policy and Planning Committee (TCB). The Senior Project Manager will work as a team with other TYJI staff members to achieve the mutual goals of the TYJI and TCB of fostering and sustaining childrens behavioral health reform. This position involves managing all planning, policy development, and special project activities associated with the work of the TCB and the TYJI.

Supervision Received: The Senior Project Manager will work under the direction of the Executive Director of TYJI.

Supervision Exercised: The Senior Project Manager will have supervision of:

* Project Coordinator

* Student Workers

Core Duties:

Manage and oversee the TCB and its various committees in planning and policy development efforts.

Coordinate, facilitate, and document all meetings of the TCB and its workgroups and subgroups.

Ensure that all administrative requirements are met, including website management project deliverables, and reporting requirements.

Engage various stakeholders in childrens behavioral health initiatives, including youth and parents with lived experiences, community voice, state agencies, non-profits, and advocacy organizations.

Track childrens behavioral health legislation, policy, and reforms both nationally and in the State of Connecticut.

Maintain knowledge of the best practices and emerging issues in childrens behavioral health from an interdisciplinary perspective.

Collaborate and work with TYJI faculty, staff and students, consultants, and subcontractors.

Collaborate with TYJI researchers in reviewing and assessing the effectiveness of the childrens behavioral health system and making recommendations to the TCB on needed policy changes, legislation, and program development.

Create and present reports to the TCB as required.

Ensure that all administrative requirements are met including meeting logistics, reports, and access to outside consultants with needed expertise.

Work in a collaborative way with system partners on other initiatives being managed by other government and private entities.

Secondary Duties:

Assist in research projects and issue briefs as needed.

Assist in maintaining contracts and budgets with consultants and subcontractors as needed.

Provide other related support of the TCB and TYJI as needed.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Minimum Qualifications:

Masters Degree with relevant experience is desired. Bachelors Degree with significant relevant experience and a track record of successful project management, planning may be considered.

Familiarity with current issues in childrens behavioral health reform in Connecticut.

Experience working in a related field (childrens behavioral health, public policy development, public administration, justice, or education).

Knowledge and experience in planning, research, and program development in childrens behavioral health.

Ability to develop consensus among committees representing public, private, foundation, and advocacy groups involved in the childrens behavioral health system.

Ability to work with and manage the use of outside consultants.

Ability to review research and integrate it into planning efforts.

Ability to conduct literature reviews.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to make persuasive presentations to various interdisciplinary audiences.

Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or other presentation software.

Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects and programs.

Additional Qualifications Desired:

* Experience in project management and grant writing.

* Experience in leading committees.

* Experience with state legislative process.

* Experience working with state agencies. Familiarity with core human services programs (e.g. Medicaid, TFA, Birth to Three, etc) a plus
