The Department of Biology and Environmental Science at the University of New Haven invites applications for a full-time lecturer position beginning January 2024.
The Department seeks to hire full-time teaching faculty who will be responsible for teaching classes in genomics, bioinformatics, biological databases, biostatistics, or related fields. This position will play a key role in our growing dual degree program, which allows our students to obtain an undergraduate degree (Biology or Forensic Science) along with a Cellular and Molecular Biology M.S. in 5 years. The successful candidate will have an administrative role in coordinating the graduate Bioinformatics Certificate program. Additional administrative duties include assisting the department with student recruitment and retention and advising students including guidance on internship opportunities.
The department seeks a colleague who is interested in networking with community and industry contacts to promote and build internship opportunities for our students.
Our department is large and varied with undergraduate degrees in Biology, Genetics & Biotechnology, and Marine & Environmental Sciences and graduate master’s programs in Cellular and Molecular Biology, Environmental Science, and Marine Policy & Management.
