Division of Pulmonology & Critical Care 

The University of Missouri School of Medicine's Division of Pulmonology and Critical Care is seeking to add an advanced practice provider, either a nurse practitioner or physician assistant, to our team. Responsibilities for this role will include providing care to pulmonology patients in an outpatient setting in collaboration with our pulmonologists. Candidates new to the field are welcome to apply, while candidates with experience will be prioritized. 

Qualifications for NURSE PRACTITIONER - SPECIALTY CARE

  • Master of Science in Nursing degree.
  • Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. 
  • Must be granted a “Document of Recognition” from the Missouri Board of Nursing. 
  • Possess a specialty certificate from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB), the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN), the Pediatric Certification Nursing Board (PCNB), or the National Certification Corporation (NCC). 

Required Qualifications for PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT SPECIALTY CARE

  • Graduation from an American Medical Association (AMA) accredited physician assistant program.
  • May possess a specialty certificate by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Hospital Medicine, Nephrology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Pediatrics or Psychiatry.
  • Possession of a current Missouri license to practice as a licensed Physician Assistant is required.
