Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant - Pediatric Pulmonology
Independently provide professional medical support services by collaborating with physicians and other staff to promote team-based patient care within the division of Pulmonology within the Department of Pediatrics.
Act as a resource person for patients, families, nursing staff and other health care professionals in area of sub-specialty. Effectively intercede with families and patients to resolve concerns related to the delivery of health care services.
Order/perform diagnostic procedures, monitor patient condition, oversee testing and results of diagnostic procedures, and develop treatment goals in sub-specialized healthcare.
Complete patient physical examinations, obtain and document complete and focused patient history and be able to relate other aspects of medical information to the physicians and surgeons.
Demonstrate a high level of autonomy and expert skills in the diagnosis and treatment of actual and potential health problems.
Assist in the identification of trends related to patients and participate in
administrative, educational and quality improvement activities; attend to administrative and educational duties and other duties as assigned.
Nurse Practitioner Specialty CareMasters of Science in Nursing degreeMissouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days. Must be granted a "Document of Recognition" from the Missouri Board of Nursing. Physician Assistant Specialty CarePhysician's Assistant (PA) licensure by the Missouri State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts.This position is eligible for University benefits.
