To provide technical expertise to project managers in the development of standards for storing, maintaining, and administering data. To plan, coordinate and implement security measures. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree plus two (2) years related experience or equivalent combination of education/experience. Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required: N/A Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Responsibilities
Maintains the departments databases of medium to high complexity
Optimizes database configuration and access and resolves database performance and capacity issues.
Work with DIS to insure database recovery and back-up
Administer database-level security as needed
Improve Database administration team internal standards and processes to promote increased quality, performance and customer service
Work with various office related software
Strong knowledge of data structures and experience administering relational databases
Ability to set priorities and follow project schedules and be detail oriented
Knowledge of database connectivity issues
Strong customer service, analytical and troubleshooting skills
Strong organizational, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Must be able to work with and communicate with people of various knowledge levels from the very technical to the casual user
Remain current on database administration technology
Performs other duties as assigned.
