Children's Emergency Services (CES) is a primary entry point for children 0-20 years of age admitted to C.S. Mott Children's Hospital, a verified level one pediatric trauma center and tertiary facility with referrals from across the state. CES is currently expanding to 43 beds to meet the medical/psychosocial needs of our expanding patient population.
CES ED Techs partner with expert pediatric emergency nurses, board certified pediatric emergency medicine faculty, and pediatric residents to provide expert family centered care for over 42,000 children who present each year with injuries and illness across the range of acuity from minor to critical care. The department provides CES Techs with an in-depth orientation, annual mandatory education, and continuing educational opportunities to include maintaining BLS, PALS, and ACLS as well as the opportunity to audit ENPC and TNCC.
Children's Emergency Services (CES) is currently seeking experienced Emergency Department Techs. Under the direction of the RN, the Emergency Department Tech will perform patient care services and specific technical duties that provide for emergent and urgent care, safety, and comfort for the pediatric patient and their family.

AS DIRECTED AND SUPERVISED BY THE RN, MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE CES ED TECH INCLUDES:
Hours: Evening shift hours will be 2 - 12-hour shifts (3:00 pm - 3:30 am) and 1 - 8-hour shift (3:00 pm - 11:30 pm).
Rotating Weekends and Holidays
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
