Summary

The Department of Pathology invites applications from productive, creative, and collaborative academic scientist for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position. We seek those with advanced degrees that include a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD equivalent, and a successful research track record in the field of basic glycoimmunology and innate immune responses in the gut. We seek candidates with an independent funding track record and will offer appointments corresponding to professional expertise and history of academic achievements. The specific area of research that this position will enhance is elucidation of glycan targeted mechanisms that can be targeted to reduce chronic inflammation and promote mucosal repair in the gastrointestinal tract.

To ensure success, candidates will be provided with the necessary infrastructure and resources to establish their research program. We require candidates to establish and maintain a strong extramurally funded research program.

Candidates will join our vibrant research community, fostering cross-departmental and institute collaborations in basic and translational research programs. The Department of Pathology recognized for high NIH funding, supports a robust research program comprising more than 50 research faculty, engaged in basic, translational, and clinical sciences.
