The University of Miami Health System, "UHealth", Department of Pediatrics, Division of Critical Care has a has an exciting opportunity for a Supervisor, Clinical Business Operations Representatives. The Supervisor, Clinical Business Operations supervises the prompt resolution of problems that arise in daily clinical operations. The incumbent collaborates with other service areas in providing a consistent standard of service across the operations. The Supervisor, Clinical Business Operations monitors adherence to policies and ensures procedures are efficient and patient centered. The Supervisor, Clinical Business Operations monitors adherence to policies and ensures procedures are efficient and patient centered.

* Responsible for managing the daily operations of the division including supervising Clinical Business Operations Representative(s).

* Evaluates all aspects of clinical operations, including coordination of staff, patient flow, and service delivery are efficient and comply with the appropriate policies and procedures.

* Ensures appropriate training of employees. Provides effective guidance and direction to all support staff.

* Evaluates and monitors job performance. Provides feedback, coaching and development to employees regarding their performance.

* Recommends and institutes process improvements and modifications to ensure work is completed in a timely, efficient, and high-quality manner.

* Audits workflow; reviews, analyzes, and develops/revises routine operational procedures.

* Maintains an in-depth knowledge of the changing health care environment.

* Supports and implements programmatic initiatives for care improvement and cost reduction.

* Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of clinical reimbursement and managed care issues.

* Operates within budget guidelines.

* Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures. Ensures employees are trained on the controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

* Minimum 4 years of relevant experience

* Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.

* Ability to establish department goals and objectives that support the strategic plan.

* Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.

* Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.

* Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.

* Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.

Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or Certifications may be considered.
