General Summary

Under the supervision of the Director of Facilities and Construction, performs diversified and confidential properties-related duties. Serves as a staff resource and consultant in matters relating to space allocation, real estate, properties and lease management activities. Also, may administer/coordinate programs, projects, and/or processes as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Hospital Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or related field is required. Other combinations of formal education, training and experience may be considered.
  2. 5-7 years of progressively responsible administrative property and lease management experience is required. Experience including budget preparation/financial reporting, familiarity with building systems, lease negotiation, documentation and administration.
  3. Real Estate license preferred or must be able to obtain the required real estate license within the first six months of employment.
  4. Certified Property Manager (CPM) and/or Real Estate Property Administrator (RPA) designation is desirable.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  1. Subject to many interruptions.
  2. Occasionally subjected to irregular hours.
  3. Local travel required to UMSJ properties, including St. Joseph’s Campus. Some sites are within walking distance; may need to drive to others.
  4. Knowledge of standards with Joint Commission, AHCA, CMS and behavioral health environments.
  5. Communication skills which included the ability to read, analyze and interpret legal documents.
  6. Mathematical skills which include the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages, parking fees, late fees and volume.
  7. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  8. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office/Suite and any other software program or piece of technology identified as a standard for UMMC or requested by the Client.
