University of Maryland Medical System is Hiring a Data Analyst, On-site Near Towson, MD

Job Description
  1. Data Analyst uses BI Launchpad, Tableau, Smartsheet, Excel, and Vizient on a daily/weekly/monthly basis to pull reports, validate data, and present data. These can be used for monthly/quarterly/annual reporting timeframe, ongoing projects, or on an ad-hoc basis.
  2. The data analyst will keep scorecards and dashboards up-to-date and assess any issues with formatting or data entry.
  3. Work with end-users and leadership to define metrics and trends using BI Launchpad, Tableau, and Vizient platforms and maintain ongoing reporting of these metrics.
  4. Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self-education, attends ongoing educational programs).
  5. Works collaboratively and supports efforts of team members. Demonstrates exceptional customer service and interacts effectively with physicians, patients, residents, visitors, staff and the broader health care community.

Qualifications
  • 4 year/Bachelor’s degree (required)
  • Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Master’s degree (preferred
  • 4-5 years’ Statistical work performed in a health care setting. (Required)
  • 4-5 years’ Thorough knowledge of current statistical software packages (Required)
  • 0 - 1 year Knowledge of TJC standards (Preferred)
  • 0 - 1 year Working knowledge of SPSS statistical software (Preferred)
  • 4-5 years’ Performance Improvement system knowledge such as the principals of TQM/CQI (Preferred)
