The Cutler Institute at the University of Southern Maine is pleased to announce an opening for a full-time Training and Implementation Group (TIG) Manager within our Maine Roads to Quality Professional Development Network (MRTQ PDN).
As the Training and Implementation Group (TIG) Manager, you will provide leadership and oversight to a statewide training and education program for early care and education (ECE) and youth development (YD) practitioners in Maine. The TIG Manager will coordinate and consult with other state, regional, and federal agencies (e.g., Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Education) to promote the development of a responsive, high-quality early childhood and youth development training system that supports practitioners’ ability to provide high-quality programming. This position provides expertise in support of strategic development and agency priorities. This position is responsible for the oversight of the coordination of MRTQ PDN training offerings, the development and revision of MRTQ training, and related subcontracts and memoranda of understanding (MOUs). In addition, the TIG Manager is responsible for the oversight of state approval of external training and the evaluation of training waiver requests. When a subcontracted curricula writer is used, this position oversees that work. The TIG Manager is also responsible for ensuring that the training offerings are responsive to the needs of the Quality Rating and Improvement System (Rising Starts for ME) in Maine.
The Maine Roads to Quality Professional Development Network (MRTQ PDN) supports early childhood and out-of-school-time professionals in developing the expertise necessary to provide high quality, inclusive, and culturally responsive care to Maine’s children. MRTQ PDN consists of a partnership with the Cutler Institute at the University of Southern Maine, the University of Maine Cener for Community Inclusion and Disability Studies, and the Maine Afterschool Network.
This is a grant funded position with a starting annual salary up to $65,000 commensurate with experience. This position will be located on the Portland Campus.
