The University of Southern Maine’s Athletic Department is seeking applicants for their Athletic Trainer position. Sponsoring 22 NCAA Division III intercollegiate teams and nearly 500 student-athletes, Husky student-athletes routinely compete at the regional and national level. The selected candidate will be providing the prevention, evaluation, management, and rehabilitation of injuries sustained by intercollegiate student-athletes (which includes emergency/acute care, evaluation, referral, modality application, and educational counseling relating to the student-athlete's overall wellness). This is a full-time position with an annual salary up to $41,000 commensurate with experience and is located on our Gorham Campus.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from CAATE accredited program. (Obtained by start date).

Licenses/Certifications:

• BOC (Board of Certification) Certification
• State of Maine Athletic Training license (must obtain by appointment date)
• Current Professional Rescuer (or equivalent) CPR/AED Certification
• Eligible for American Red Cross First Aid, CPR and AED Instructor Certification (must be obtained within six months of appointment).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Post-Professional master’s degree in athletic training or related field
• Minimum 2 years professional experience
• Experience as a preceptor with an Athletic Training Education Program
