University of Kentucky is Hiring a Recreation assistant Near Lexington, KY

Required License / Registration / Certification

none Physical Requirements The position may require lifting or pushing objects up to 50lbs, or extended amounts of time walking or standing.

Shift 2-3 hour shifts, during operation hours (Mon Fri 5 : 30am 12am, Sat 8 : 30am-9pm, Sun 10 : 30 12am) Job Summary Facility Assistants are responsible for providing UK Students and the UK Community with quality customer service while providing information, controlling access, checking out equipment, and monitoring the fitness areas.

Facility staff maintain a safe environment by actively supervising activities and enforcing facility policies. Staff are trained to respond to emergencies according to the outlined Emergency Action Plans.

Facility assistants help to maintain a clean facility by completing routine cleaning, performing laundry duties, and completing other chores as assigned.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Policy enforcement, customer service, attention to detail, time management, initiative Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?

No Preferred Education / Experience Facility Assistants will serve as a first responder. CPR / AED / First Aid certifications are required for Facility Assistants.

Free certification classes will be available to all new employees who are not currently certified. Student employees are expected to maintain a current certification throughout their employment.
