The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) at UKHC is pivotal in delivering prompt medical care, transportation, and empathetic service to patients in emergency situations. This role demands a combination of medical proficiency, effective communication skills, and a strong commitment to patient care. Operating in a fast-paced and often high-pressure environment, the EMT is responsible for assessing patient conditions, providing essential medical assistance, and ensuring patients are safely transported to healthcare facilities.
Qualifications and Requirements for a Emergency Medical Technician (EMT):
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification
Ability to lift, push, and/or pull objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds
Ability to work three, 12-hour shifts per week; will also be required to work some weekends and holidays.
