Eligible for licensure in Kansas as a physical therapist

Required Qualifications:
Education:
Acceptable Degree(s) and Fields(s) of Study:
Bachelor in Physical Therapy
Work Experience:
At least 1-year practice experience as a physical therapist
Experience teaching physical therapy students in the clinical or classroom setting
Skills:
Communicate clearly with physical therapy students to provide feedback and guidance on clinical practice skills
Evaluate and treat patients in a clinical setting
Preferred Qualifications:
Education:
Master's in Physical Therapy
Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy (DPT)
Work Experience:
Specialty certification or advanced practice experience
Experience working with people with neurologic conditions in general and Multiple Sclerosis in particular
Demonstrated leadership within the physical therapy profession
Skills:
Teach in a lecture or lab environment as part of a team
Knowledge about physical therapy education and accreditation requirements
Use research evidence to guide clinical practice and education
Job Duties Outlined:
Work with the course director to prepare the information provided to students as part of the class.
Interact directly with students during class sessions to teach, facilitate learning experiences, and respond to questions.
Provide clinical services to the Multiple Sclerosis Achievement Center (MSAC), a community-based rehabilitation program that provides services to people with advanced MS.
Other duties as assigned.
