UI Health is seeking a Compliance Data Analyst Coordinator to join our UI Health Compliance team. This role responsible for maintaining all compliance databases in an accurate, organized, and complete fashion such that compliance data is readily accessible for internal or external use. The Compliance Data Analyst Coordinator is responsible for preparing compliance reports and dashboards for various stakeholders and audiences, that deepen the organization's insight into compliance trends, risks, and opportunities. The Compliance Data Analyst Coordinator supports compliance auditors in data gathering and analysis. The Compliance Data Analyst Coordinator also actively participates in compliance problem-solving by facilitating data-driven decision-making and process improvement.
Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plans and makes recommendations regarding the methods and techniques for obtaining, storing, and analyzing compliance data
  • Develops operational definitions for compliance data categories and ensures consistency in compliance data and reporting
  • Develops systems for collecting compliance data and processes for identifying inconsistencies or anomalies; ensures that documentation for compliance activities is retained and is adequate
  • Develops systems for data validation and redundancy as necessary
  • Gathers compliance data points from a variety of internal and external sources and develops analytics that drive the development of the annual compliance workplan (i.e. comparing CERT error rate by procedure to historical hospital volumes)
  • Extrapolates organizational risk areas from prior compliance program activity data to assist in future program development (i.e. internal/external audit results); Identifies patterns and trends within data sets
  • Manages the compliance hotline database and appropriately assigns investigators, tracks issue resolutions, and incident documentation
  • Assists Compliance Auditors Coordinator in gathering, and scoping data sets for auditing and aids in data analysis as needed
  • Utilities EPIC data and tools to support compliance auditors in identify compliance risks and to inform compliance workplan development
  • Creates various avenues for communicating with key stakeholders, critical compliance data such as, the status of workplan items, investigation results by category, or claim error rates
  • Develops dashboards and reports for use by compliance program governance bodies including compliance committees
  • Recommends key performance indicators for the program, and establishes benchmarks and baselines for compliance data points; develops tools analytic tools for assessing the effectiveness of the compliance program
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Information Management, Healthcare Information, Nursing, Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Management Engineering, Business or closely related fields or as required by the position to be filled in the area of specialization inherent in the position may be required.
  • Two (2) years (24 months) of data management/analyst work experience in a clinical or healthcare related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) Certification by the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA)
