University of Idaho Temp-Faculty LecturerLocation: Moscow Division/CollegeEmployee Category:Pay Range: Commensurate with experience FTE: 1 Full/Part TimePosition Summary:The University of Idaho’s Department of Design and Environments seeks applications for a full-time, non-tenure track, Temporary Faculty Lecturer in Interior Architecture and Design (IAD). This is a temporary 9-month appointment subject to renewal based on mutual consent, need, and available funding. The successful candidate is expected to teach assigned courses and to provide program support, including participation in CIDA accreditation planning and processes. Description Of ExpectationsThis Lecturer position is expected to teach approximately 11 credit hours in the fall semester and approximately 12 credits in the spring semester in IAD according to the needs of the program and qualifications/expertise of candidate. Teaching responsibilities involve undergraduate level courses in the following areas:Fall:
One undergraduate IAD studio (IAD351 or IAD 451) (6 credits)
IAD 281 History of Interiors I (3 credits)
IAD 231 Design Communication (sketching, portfolio development, etc.)or IAD 410 Capstone Proposal Development (2 credits)
Spring:
One undergraduate IAD studio (IAD352) (6 credits)
IAD 282 History of Interiors II (3 credits)
IAD 152 Interior Architecture and Design I or IAD 151 Introduction to IAD (3 credits)
Minimum QualificationsExperience teaching in university setting and/or design practice experience. Preferred Qualifications
NCIDQ Certification.
LEED, WELL, CHID, CKBA, and/or other discipline appropriate professional credentials.
3 or more years of teaching and/or design practice experience.
Evidence of teaching and design practice excellence.
