University Of Houston is Hiring a Research Grants Office Coordinator Near Houston, TX

Provides administrative and functional support relating to the research grant and award process for a department.

* Coordinate sub-recipient process by contacting Principle Investigator (PI) and sub-recipient institution for the required information.

* Audit sub-recipient invoices, review for accuracy and compliance, and submit to department payment if allowable.

* Monitor sub-recipient accounts for compliance with applicable federal, state, and university regulations and laws; take corrective action as needed to ensure compliance.

* Encumber and maintain sub-recipient files; research problems and budgeting issues.

* Coordinate office staff ensuring effective office coverage and work assignment distribution; interact with faculty, staff, and administration to address office issues.

* Coordinate technical, legal, and administrative report processes which may include issuing reminders, collecting reports, and updating reports in databases.

* Oversee the maintenance of various filing systems; observe all state and local requirements for file retention.

* May assist with grant compliance and award receipt.

* Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

4. May assist with grant compliance activities through the generation and/or review of exception reports.

Associates and 3 years experience

Requires the ability and knowledge for analysis and interpretation of procedures, policies and practices attainable through specific education and/or training programs in a specialty or technical field. Advanced vocational or electronic skills or a basic knowledge of a professional field is required. An Associate's degree or certification/licensing in a technical specialty program of over 18 months and up to 3 years duration are characteristic of this field. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.
