University of Houston-Downtown is Hiring a Federal Work-study, Environmental Health & Safety Near Houston, TX

DUTIES

  • Assists in chemical and hazardous waste functions
  • Updates Environmental Health and Safety report data
  • Assists in occupational safety functions
  • Filing and general administrative duties
  • Researches (computer): regulation, codes, and guidelines, etc.
  • Assists EHS Office with inspections and audits
  • Other duties as needed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds
  • Willingness to learn
  • Customer service oriented
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills: MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel
