Title: Lecturer, CC Business (General Business, Finance, Management, 
Marketing) Summer 2024/Fall 2024/Spring 2025
Job Number: 2024-00891
Salary: Minimum $1,820 per credit hour (Summer 2024)
Minimum $1,911 per credit hour (Fall 2024/Spring 2025)
Job Location: UH Maui College (Maui County)
Temporary/Part-Time

Other Conditions:
Fall and Spring Semester; Summer Sessions. Part-time Lecturer applicant pool. Non-tenure, pending availability of funds and actual staffing requirements. Evening, weekend and or distance offerings for UH Maui College and or Outreach sites (Lana`i, Moloka`i) may be assigned as part of regular workload.
Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Teach assigned courses in the discipline qualified for.
  2. Maintain minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught. 
  3. Prepare course syllabi, grading and reports related to teaching and student progress
  4. Work under supervision of discipline coordinator/division chairperson in integrating teaching efforts with other instructors in the discipline area.
  5. May include instructional assignments involving distance education.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Master’s degree in General Business, Finance, Management, or Marketing,
  2. OR Master’s in Business Administration,
  3. OR Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or Marketing, AND 3 years related work experience (Experience must be within the last 5 years)
As listed above. All minimum qualifications must be from a regionally accredited institution and met by the effective date of appointment. If qualified applicants are not available, those not meeting the minimum qualifications may be considered on an exception basis.
Desirable Qualifications:
  1. Successful community college and or university teaching experience in the field.
  2. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations.
  3. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
  4. Ability to use writing assignments and integrate teaching of appropriate thinking skills in to course content as an integral part of student's classroom learning activities.
