Position Summary | The Advisor I position at the College of Engineering's School of Environmental, Civil, Agricultural, and Mechanical Engineering is an entry-level advising position. The Advisor I will provide academic and future planning support to a variety of students, with caseloads ranging from 250 to 290 students. The Advisor I is responsible for facilitating one-on-one advising sessions focused on course selection, progress needed toward graduation, career goals, and other opportunities within and external to the College. The primary function of all Academic Advisor positions in the College of Engineering is to administer student support to enrolled and prospective students while working collaboratively with other Academic Advisors throughout the College of Engineering. Academic Advisors will also maintain up-to-date degree program procedures, policies, and requirements as well as UGA-wide policies, procedures, and requirements. |
