University of Georgia Athletic Association is Hiring a Creative coordinator Near Athens, GA

Position Summary :

The Creative Services Coordinator is responsible for creating and delivering a wide variety of dynamic visual content, including video and graphic design for various platforms including social media for the University of Georgia Basketball programs.

This position will also produce content for Georgia Women’s Basketball recruiting and social media platforms and develop creative content that will be used as recruiting materials, brochures, mail-outs, and general correspondence.

Duties & Responsibilities :

40% Responsible for leading and executing creative / branding, digital, and social media strategy for UGA Women’s Basketball, including the following : managing all head coach social media activity, support assistant coach and student-athlete social media activity, guide the team in designing and executing creative content to drive and enhance fan engagement, brand awareness, communications, and advertising strategy.

Filming practices, games, workouts, and various team activities throughout the season.

20% Assist in developing communications vehicles to create momentum and awareness as well as to test the effectiveness of communications activities.

Work closely with both Georgia Basketball programs to achieve UGAAA goals.

Building connections with student-athletes and coaches, understanding their stories, and capturing their personalities.

15% Mentor and lead part-time and student staff responsible for the sport-specific creative services initiatives.

10% Build brand awareness and positive messaging to prospective student-athletes.

Staying up to date with trends and innovative storytelling techniques to enhance the Georgia Basketball’s visual presence.

10% Evaluate social media analytics to form strategies and ensure quality control; and forming partnerships with all Athletic Association external units.

5% Other duties as assigned.

Schedule Information :

Hours will vary based on program needs. Ability to work nights and weekends. Ability to travel.

Physical Demands :

Regularly stand; walk; use hands and reach with arms. Frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, and peripheral vision.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but escalates to high during practice and athletic competitions.

Driving as needed to perform job duties.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of video production, graphic design, communications, marketing, or a closely related field.
  • Experience in professional sports or collegiate athletics creative, communications, or marketing areas.
  • Highly proficient design skills, videography skills, and a demonstrated ability to work with creative teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience with creative software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe After Effects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of social media trends and analytics.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Experience with and demonstrated ability to create, utilize, and interpret brand standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to create digital and social media campaigns, particularly those focused on driving fan attendance and revenue generation.
  • Ability to travel as well as work nights and weekends Regular and weekend work during the season. Weekend travel for away games.
