Schedule: 40 hrs per wk, Mon- Fri, 8:30am - 5:00pm with a 30 minute unpaid meal break

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

Participates in project planning sessions, business analyst and team members to analyze requirements and provides design recommendations for simple to moderately complex systems; identify solutions to simple system requirements; assist in defining system architecture and design alternatives/solutions for simple systems by translating business and technical requirements; makes application design decisions in conformance with standards; implements system integration plans; participates in architecture design reviews; develops or modifies simple to moderately complex software modules using disciplined software development processes; develops detailed specifications; performs system testing across multiple packages and systems; provides ongoing maintenance; tests application modules to ensure applications meets specifications; provides ongoing maintenance of application; documents functions and changes to new or modified modules and test activities/results and other areas such as error handling and backup/recovery procedures; prepares and present status updates for various projects; utilizes and stays current on advanced features of programming languages and software technology; any other related duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY:

Good working knowledge of the principles of application development and decision support; basic understanding of the principles of client server development; basic understanding of the principles and techniques of data modeling, with experience with data modeling tools desired; basic knowledge of data warehouse extract, transformation and load procedures; working knowledge of at least one or more, but not limited to, the following query/reporting tools: Cognos, MS Access, DBMS report writer, Transact Structured Query language (SQL), Filemaker Pro, Crystal Reports, COBOL, Focus or as specified; working knowledge of SQL servers 6.5 and higher desired; good working knowledge of mainframe or computer operating systems including but not limited to Microsoft Windows, 98, 2000, NT, XP and Unix platforms; good working knowledge of at least one Microsoft application development tools/methodology, including but not limited to, Access, Visual Basic, Visual Interdev, .Net, ActiveX, java script, HTML; demonstrated ability to design, develop and implement simple to moderately complex applications utilizing at least one Microsoft development tool; knowledge and understanding of internet tools and technologies, including principles of web application development desired ; knowledge of distributed systems architecture, networks, middleware or object-oriented analysis design desired; knowledge of technology support; ability to write and maintain program documents; ability to think logically and analytically, follow instructions and pay close attention to details; oral and written communication skills; interpersonal skills.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

General Experience:

Four (4) years experience in programming or system analysis and design or database management.

Substitution Allowed:

Associate Degree in Computer Programming may be substituted for two (2) years of the general experience or Bachelor's degree in Computer Programming

Special Requirements:

Working knowledge of integrated development environments (IDEs) for development and debugging (e.g. Eclipse and JetBrains Tools)

Proficiency in Java

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in Python

Full Time Equivalent Minimum Salary:$ 66,144.00
