The Department of Radiology has an opening for a full-time Interventional Radiologist Faculty position.

The University of Colorado Department of Radiology is seeking a fellowship-trained, Interventional Radiologist to join the Vascular & Interventional Division at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Professor. This is a terrific opportunity to join a highly progressive department and institution, on a state-of-the-art campus, in one of the best places to live in the United States.

The Division of Vascular and Interventional Radiology currently consists of 12 faculty members and 6 advanced practice providers serving the primary practice location of the University of Colorado Hospital and a vibrant community hospital in UCHealth at Anschutz and Highlands Ranch Hospital. Expansion into the Denver community is imminent via openings of an Office-Based Lab (OBL) and Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) later in 2024. At the University of Colorado Hospital, the IR division is housed within the Heart and Vascular Center, where we perform approximately 16,000 cases per year in 7 angiography suites. We offer an inpatient consult service, short stay admission unit, robust outpatient clinic and longitudinal care with a diverse team of physicians, advanced practice providers, and nurse coordinators. Additionally, we participate in various multidisciplinary conferences and clinics. Clinical areas of strength include interventional oncology, peripheral vascular disease, portal and biliary interventions, venous interventions and percutaneous cholangioscopy. We have a very active PERT team & are engaged in multiple clinical trials involving embolization, DVT management & Pulmonary Embolism management. We also have a strong biliary endoscopy program and a growing NIH-funded health services research program that focuses on clinical outcomes, mixed methods research and pragmatic trials.

Key Responsibilities:

* This position will provide clinical and interventional procedural care to patients within the University of Colorado health system.

* Call is shared equally across the entire faculty group.

* All academic faculty are allocated 20% academic time as a baseline for their scholarly pursuits while clinical faculty will be offered administrative time in keeping with their responsibilities.

* Education resides at the core of our divisional mission. Our objective is to nurture and graduate the highest caliber interventional radiologists.

* All faculty are expected to teach in didactic lectures and in daily interactions with the residents.

Work Location:

The clinical work of the radiologist would be located at UC Health in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below.

Academic rank will be determined during the interview process after discussion between the candidate and the department about previous experience and academic desires.

Assistant Professor:

* MD/DO or equivalent, Colorado medical license by time of hire, ABR certified or eligible at time of hire, Interventional Radiology Fellowship Training, CAQ eligible by time of hire.

Associate Professor:

* MD/DO or equivalent, Colorado medical license by time of hire, ABR certified or eligible at time of hire, Interventional Radiology Fellowship Training, CAQ eligible by time of hire.

Professor:

* MD/DO or equivalent, Colorado medical license by time of hire, ABR certified or eligible at time of hire, Interventional Radiology Fellowship Training, CAQ eligible by time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications: (all ranks)

* The individual would have a proven interest in the development of new & expanded clinical service lines in interventional radiology. Prior experience in an interventional radiology practice but an interest in being part of an academic group would be preferred.

Required competencies: (all ranks)

* Competency is required in the performance of diagnostic arteriography, vascular intervention, oncologic intervention including intra-arterial and percutaneous therapies, biliary, genitourinary, and GI intervention.

Assistant Professor: $425,000 - $475,000

Associate Professor: $425,000 - $475,000

Faculty is eligible for a bonus.

Salaries are based on years of experience and are equal across all academic ranks. Academic rank will be determined during the interview process after discussion between the candidate and the department about previous experience and academic desires.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
