University of Central Arkansas is Hiring a Clinical Instructor I Near Conway, AR

The University of Central Arkansas Clinical Instructor I is responsible for teaching, research and service. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy. The position is non-tenure track and a nine-month appointment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

The faculty member will provide instruction in health sciences baccalaureate programs, engage in scholarship/practice activities, and participate in service activities at the institutional and professional level.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The candidate must: Possess a passion for teaching. Demonstrate evidence of interpersonal skills, networking abilities, and intraprofessional and interprofessional collaboration. Create an environment that facilitates student learning and the achievement of desired outcomes. Strive to improve teaching on an on-going basis. Use a variety of strategies to assess and evaluate student learning. Assist with formulating program outcomes and designing curricula that reflect contemporary health care trends.

Knowledge of state, federal, and university rules, regulations and procedures.

Required Education and/or Experience

The formal education of a Master’s degree required.

Preferred Education and/or Experience

It is preferred that the candidate has: 1) Educational preparation as a health sciences educator or experience teaching at the baccalaureate level. 2) Experience with learning management systems and/or online teaching at the baccalaureate or higher degree.

License(s)/Certifications (Required or Preferred)

CHES preferred: CHES eligible required.
If eligible but not CHES currently, must receive certification within a year of hire
