Job Description
This position is being advertised as either a Community Education Specialist (CES) 2 or 3 depending on the level of experience of the hired applicant.
If the applicant is hired as a CES 2, they will be hired in a learning and development role. More of their duties will be direct nutrition education and there will be less program leadership, community partnership development and leadership of policy, system and environmental (PSE) activities.
If the applicant is hired as a CES 3, duties would include providing leadership and mentoring to interns and CES 2 staff as well as actively identifying, leading and evaluating policy, system and environmental changes at educational sites and long-range planning for community education programs.
This position is a career appointment that is 100% fixed.
The home department for this position is UCCE San Mateo County. While this position normally is based at 400 Oyster Point Boulevard #208 South San Francisco, CA 94080, this position is eligible for hybrid flexible work arrangements, for applicants living in the State of California, at this time.
Please note that hybrid flexible work arrangements are subject to change by the University.
Pay Scale :
CES2 : $54,000.00 / year to $71,900.00 / year
CES3 : $58,800.00 / year to $79,100.00 / year

Key Responsibilities :
This may include duplication of materials, creating and maintaining secure filing systems, organizing and purchasing of program related materials and supplies, timely reporting of expenses, developing tracking tools and spreadsheets, pulling data from surveys or portals, taking meeting notes, etc.
May create and facilitate team meeting agendas.
Maintains appropriate records tracking the partnerships, collaborations and community events.
Works with CE Supervisor, Advisor, and Regional Manager to analyze and utilize evaluation data to suggest program improvements and when training CES.

Must possess valid California Driver's License to drive a County or University vehicle. Ability and means to travel on a flexible schedule as needed, proof of liability damage insurance on vehicle used is required.
Reimbursement of job-related travel will be reimbursed according to University policies.
