University of California San Francisco is Hiring a Sr. Radiologic Technologist Near San Francisco, CA

Sr. Radiologic Technologist

Neurology

Part Time

76560BR

Job Summary

**This a limited, 40% appointment at a limited capacity for 1 year from the date of hire. We are preferably in search of someone who can work specifically on Thursdays and Fridays.
The Department of Neurology is looking for an MRI technologist to support research scanning efforts.
A rare and excellent opportunity to work as a research MRI technologist. The position is part-time, but additional hours can be added on the clinical side if desired. This could be a 'pick up some low-stress extra hours here and there' for a veteran tech or a consistent part-time chance to get exposed to things outside the typical clinical realm. This could be a short-term or per diem hire (particularly looking to help with coverage over the summer) or it could be a long-term position. This work is in the neurology department, working on a Siemens 3T scanner supporting clinical trials and investigator-led studies predominantly in Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson's Disease. You'll be taking care of patients who need you, working with research coordinators who support you, and (if you want) learning about things like data networking, image processing, IRBs, study design, and so on.The patients here are volunteering their time to support science, so a customer care orientation is important. The science depends on precision, so being able to pay attention to details is needed. The opportunity to have an impact at both an individual and a system-wide level is rare, so this is a situation where you can shine. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Please note: An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.

For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
