UCSF's Intensive Care Nursery (ICN) was founded in 1964 and pioneered fetal surgery and is a 58-bed unit that provides care for critically ill newborns and has the expertise to treat the smallest, sickest and most fragile babies needing surgery for heart, lung, gastrointestinal and other life-threatening conditions.
The Nurse Practitioner is an independent member of the team, taking responsibility for the safe delivery of care for inpatient newborns.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Please note: An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.
For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.

Candidate cannot be a current UC employee. Candidate cannot have been employed by the University during the 12 months prior to the proposed rehire date. Candidate position classification cannot be Senior Management Group (SMG). Proposed candidate total case compensation offer must be below the Indexed Compensation Level (ICL) of $340,000 as of (9/1/2021). Candidate must meet any additional UC location eligibility requirements.
