Job Summary
Under direct supervision of Shuttle Supervisors, the Principal Automotive Equipment Operator or Shuttle Driver will operate a variety of passenger shuttle buses throughout the City and County of San Francisco. The primary purpose of the position is to safely transport staff, faculty, and students who are required to travel between campus sites to fulfill their work and school related obligations. The drivers also support patient transportation to various UCSF clinical facilities on regular shuttles or on-demand Jitney service.

Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.
For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.

The Department of Transportation Services at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) provides essential transit, parking, and alternate commuter services that impact benefit nearly every member of the UCSF community, including faculty, staff, trainees, students, patients, and visitors.
