The UCPath Center is the University of California's shared services center in Riverside, CA. The UCPath Center manages the payroll, benefits, and other human resources transactions for more than 200,000 UC employees working across ten UC campuses, five medical centers, three national labs and more. The staff at the UCPath Center work in a variety of areas including business operations, customer service, quality management, technology, training, human resources and communications.

Position SummaryThe Finance & Budget Analyst will work in a team environment supporting budget/forecasting activities and financial analysis.A key responsibility of this Finance & Budget Analyst is supporting the budget team. The incumbent will be focused on supporting fiscal-year activities and projects, in addition to month-end close.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in month-end and fiscal year-end activities and related tasks.
  • Foster relationships with UCPath departments and collaborate with senior staff and department leads.
  • Assist with creation of procedure documents and visual aids of various workflows.
  • Track progress of purchase orders and reconcile balances.
  • Assist in preparing Word, PowerPoint, and Excel documents.
  • Provide support for various finance and budget related tasks and projects as needed.

Qualifications Required

  • Currently enrolled University of California student
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
  • Strong writing skills, including the ability to write clear and concise emails
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in handling numerical data
  • Ability to communicate technical information to personnel at various levels in the organization
  • Demonstrate interest in learning in an enterprise environment
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable as priorities evolve
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred

  • Pursuing a degree in finance, economics, accounting, business administration, or related field
  • Previous experience or coursework in finance, accounting, or billing processes
  • Familiarity with financial management tools

Education

  • Undergraduate degree in progress or recently completed Bachelor's degree

Additional Information Internships available for currently enrolled University of California students only. Non-UC students will not be considered.

This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at the UCPath Center in Riverside and remote in California.HOW TO APPLY
