QualificationsWe're seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated nursing professional with:* Current valid California RN license, required * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a BSN or MSN degree, required.* Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required. * Two years of direct patient care in an Emergency Department setting required. * Official Transcripts and/or original diploma from a registered nursing program must be provided upon hire. * Clinical skills include patient assessment, IV start, knowledge of medications, IV infusions and airway management. * Ability to provide appropriate care for high acuity patients such as stroke, STEMI, trauma, psych, and pediatric populations. * Skill in implementing appropriate nursing interventions on a consistent basis.* Ability to perform historical, physical and behavioral patient assessments.* Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plan actively involving patients, family, and staff.About UCLA Santa Monica:The Nethercutt Emergency Center is the cornerstone of UCLA Health's Santa Monica Medical Center; a technologically advanced and welcoming 281-bed, 4.5-acre, full-service medical campus.
